Finished manuscripts:

The Magicians on Anise Street | MG, contemporary fantasy, 56k. There’s a sorcerer loose in small-town Kansas, and standing in his way are a pair of fifth graders. Written from remembering how intensely a ten year old can care about justice. My friends’ kids really liked this one.

Proverbs for the Forsaken | YA, contemporary, 105k. Estranged teenage siblings from an intolerant Christian family, one gay and one pregnant, run away together. Written about being a gay kid from Texas. My queer friends who also had a rough time growing up really liked this one.

Carrion Queendom | Adult, fantasy. A fae witch kidnaps a detective to help her find a cure for the zombie plague. 131k. A whole slew of betas really liked this one, particularly those who love the Locked Tomb books.

Tassel and the Toddling Prince | MG, fantasy, 47k. Sleeping Beauty’s fairy-blessed baby brother is on a mission to break her curse. He’s a prince, a wizard, a born hero… And he needs his nursemaid to please carry him to his destiny. Another kid-pleasing book. My fantasy betas really liked this one; it’s an easy read.
