In Norway

And Germany, and Denmark… It’s been a busy couple of weeks. I couldn’t get TeamViewer to work until today, which makes this the longest I’ve gone without writing in ages. Tapping out work emails on my phone doesn’t count.

Anyway, yay new experiences. Photos pending. This is my first time in Europe. Good food, functional public transportation, not speaking the language, and sleeping somewhere new most nights feel natural. I took to all of that natively. What I could not adjust to was western Norway, with its lakes, mountains, fjords, and glaciers. Which is a shame, because that’s where we’ve spent most of our time so far– The in-laws live there.

The in-laws have lots of stories about people they know who nearly died on a glacier. Fun fact. Meanwhile, I have decided that I am not the type of person meant to go to Mars. Hostile environments aren’t for me. The girlfriend coped with the ancestral lakeside cabin setup the in-laws have 5000% better than I did. They even went trout fishing with the boyfriend on one chilly morning. That was adorable. I’m so glad I got to hide indoors. The boyfriend-husband type thing is literally at home though. In the context of this rugged living, his entire personality suddenly makes sense.

No trip photos yet because I suck at photos, so I have to wait for my partners to upload theirs. Here’s the sideview mirror on a German car from June 26th though. I completely forgot why I took this:

Ha det bra!
